Treasure Is Everywhere

Blobade throws a bunch of pirates onto one small tropical island and lets the chaos unfold. At first, the place feels roomy enough to explore. Then you notice the piles of gold, the treasure chests, and more importantly, the other pirates running around with the same idea. Picking up doubloons makes your character grow, so even a harmless-looking trip for treasure can quickly turn into a race to become the biggest pirate around.

Getting Rich Has a Price

Gold gives you an advantage, but carrying plenty of it also makes you worth chasing. Defeated players drop what they've collected, allowing a successful attacker to grow even faster. This creates some fun decisions during a match. You might spot a heavily loaded rival and go after them, or decide that fighting someone bigger than you is simply asking for trouble.

Don't Get Caught Outside

The island doesn't stay safe forever. Toxic fog gradually rolls in from the edges, cutting away parts of the map and squeezing everyone toward the remaining space. As the island gets smaller, encounters become harder to avoid. A pirate who spends too much time wandering outside the safe area won't last long.

One Good Dash Can Change Everything

Combat is straightforward, but timing makes a difference. A normal sword swing can finish a nearby opponent, while a charged dash gives you a quick way to close the gap or get out of a bad situation. Sometimes the smartest move isn't chasing an enemy at all; It's charging up, waiting for them to make a mistake, and then making your move.

The gold you earn can also be spent on new pirates and pets, giving you something to work toward between battles. Every round of Blobade comes down to the same question: can you grab enough treasure, survive the fights, and stay ahead of the fog?
