Fish Quest focuses on the part most fishing games ignore: the actual fight. Every catch feels like a struggle between the player and the fish, especially once larger deep-sea species start pulling against the line.

The game sends players to famous fishing locations around the world, where different fish species behave differently depending on size and strength. Some fights last only seconds. Others become long battles that can easily end with a snapped line.

Timing the Perfect Cast

Catching valuable fish starts before the bait even hits the water. During casting, a moving slider swings across a power meter. Landing the timing inside the maximum zone launches the bait farther, giving better chances of attracting larger and rarer fish. After the cast, patience matters. The moment a fish bites, players must react quickly to set the hook before the struggle begins.

Managing the Tension

The heart of Fish Quest is the tension system. Holding the large reel wheel pulls the fish closer, but too much pressure pushes the tension gauge into the dangerous red zone. If the line stays overloaded for too long, it snaps instantly.

Successful players constantly release pressure, then begin reeling again once the fish calms down. There is also a striking zone along the tension meter that rewards perfect timing with huge progress during the fight.

Keep the Catch or Sell It

Once the fish reaches zero distance, players can sell it immediately for coins or place it inside a personal aquarium. Fish stored in tanks continue growing over time and can later be sold for much larger rewards.
