About City Hero

City Hero puts you in a blue superhero suit and drops you into Vice Town, a busy 3D city where trouble seems to be around every corner. You have a rope launcher, super strength, a growing collection of weapons, and a whole city to explore while helping Tipson deal with the local gangs.

Getting Around Is Half the Fun

Driving is useful, but sometimes it is much more fun to leave the road behind. Point the rope at a building, fire it, and pull yourself toward the structure or swing over a street. Once you get the hang of it, you can bounce between rooftops, climb tall buildings, and reach places that would take much longer to reach on foot.

The Streets Don't Stay Quiet

Vice Town is full of mafia members and other enemies, so fights can break out while you're simply moving around. You can handle smaller encounters with punches and kicks, then switch to firearms when a group of enemies becomes harder to manage. Your equipment gradually expands too, with rifles, shotguns, machine guns, sniper weapons, explosives, and other gear available as you progress.

Give Tipson a Call

Tipson is your main contact for the story missions. Completing his jobs brings in cash and diamonds that can be spent on better equipment and other upgrades. There are also plenty of vehicles scattered around the city, including motorcycles, police cars, regular cars, and tougher off-road rides.

When the City Isn't Enough

For something completely different, head into the arena and take on waves of zombies. Survive long enough and a giant robot boss joins the fight, giving you a tougher target and the chance to earn special rewards. You can also spend some downtime changing your hero's clothes, visiting the casino, playing its mini-games, or simply wandering around to see what happens.

The appeal of City Hero is really the freedom. One minute you're chasing criminals through the streets, the next you're swinging from a skyscraper or jumping into a stolen car. There is always another corner of Vice Town to mess around in.
