Quenq Vice City brings the streets of the 2002 open-world classic into a browser-based setting through WebAssembly and WebGL 2. Instead of installing a traditional game launcher, the project uses the reverse-engineered reVC engine to translate the game's code so it can run through a modern browser and communicate with the device's graphics hardware.

Back to the Neon '80s

The adventure takes place in a colorful version of 1986 Miami, where Tommy Vercetti arrives with ambitions that quickly grow into something much bigger. Vice City spans two large islands packed with streets, beaches, businesses, pedestrians, and plenty of trouble waiting around the corner.

You can explore freely between missions, steal a wide selection of cars and motorcycles, take boats across the water, or even get airborne in helicopters. The city rewards wandering, so something unexpected usually happens when you leave the main story behind.

Build an Empire

Tommy's rise is not limited to completing missions. As the story develops, you can purchase properties and businesses such as the Malibu Club, Cherry Popper Ice Cream Factory, and film studios. These purchases open additional activities while helping Tommy establish his growing criminal empire.

Combat is equally varied, with everything from baseball bats and chainsaws to pistols, assault rifles, and rocket launchers. Cause enough trouble and the wanted system responds, progressing from ordinary police pursuit to much heavier forces at the highest levels.

A Browser-Based Classic

Quenq Vice City aims to preserve the larger experience rather than presenting a tiny technical demo. Story missions, side activities, cutscenes, radio stations, and save support are part of the package, with browser-based storage handling progress at familiar safehouses such as the Ocean View Hotel.
