Last Light
About Last Light
In Last Light, waking up is only the beginning of the trouble. You find yourself trapped inside an abandoned science facility, with no memory of how you got there and zombies roaming the halls. You're somewhere around Floor 15, and the only way out is to work your way up to the ground floor. Getting there takes more than a loaded gun. You also need enough electricity, coins, and time to keep yourself alive.
The Power Can Save You or Get You Killed
Every floor has a circuit breaker that needs to be activated before you can move higher. The problem is that electricity also runs other important systems. Lights help you spot useful items in dark rooms, security power opens doors and reveals hidden areas, and the elevator needs energy to operate. Spend too much power in one place, and another part of the facility may become useless when you need it most.
The generator provides a small amount of coins each day, so money is never something to waste. You can use it to buy ammunition, open lockers, pick up new firearms, and improve your equipment. Time moves forward as well, meaning a long search for supplies can leave you with fewer options when the infected come out at night.
Zombies Aren't Your Only Problem
Guns help, but they won't solve everything. Last Light lets you build defenses, strengthen barricades, upgrade turrets, and use chemicals or traps against groups of enemies. As you climb toward the upper floors, the zombies become tougher, so a weapon that worked well in the basement might not be enough later.
The armory offers new options, including weapons such as the MP5, STG44, and Winchester. Your progress also carries over between attempts. Killing zombies improves your guns and their damage permanently, giving you a better chance when you have to start another run.
Keep Climbing
Last Light mixes shooting with the constant pressure of deciding what deserves your limited resources. Do you spend your coins on ammunition or improve the generator first? Should you search another room or prepare for the night? Every floor brings another decision, and reaching Floor 0 is the only way to leave the nightmare behind.
